Make Money With Website Advertising

There are so many ways to make money with website advertising, it doesn’t matter what type of website you have. If you have a small one page website that tells about your hobby of stamp collecting, it can make money. If you have a blog where you detail hum drum everyday experiences in your life, it can make you money as well.

Money is the energy that powers the world wide web. Everyone from the mom and pop restaurant down the street from you, to large multi national corporations use the world wide web to make money, and as more and more people turn off their television sets in favor of the internet, it’s a trend that is expected to grow. Here are just a few ways you can make money with your website.

1. Advertise your goods and services online.
This method is used by business owners who build websites to drive traffic to their businesses. For instance, a plumber can’t fix your sink over the internet, but he can give his phone number, talk about his company, and advertise his prices. No money is exchanged online, but when customers hire this plumber because they learned of his company online, the plumber has successfully used his website to make money.

2. Sell Your Goods and Services Online.
This method takes advertising online just a step further. Your products and services are advertised on your website, but the customer has an option of paying for them without meeting the seller face to face. Most websites of this nature are equipped with what is called a “shopping cart”. The Shopping Cart feature allows the customer to pay for the item using a credit card or a Pay Pal account. You will then be responsible for shipping the merchandise to the customer.

3. Allow Others to Advertise on Your website.
Even if you don’t have any goods or services to sell, you can still make money with website adspace. With this method, the more popular your site is, the more money you will make. Two popular methods that advertisers use are banners and contextual ads. A banner is a small, self contained advertisement that usually appears somewhere near the top of your web page. When someone clicks on this ad, they are taken to the advertisers website and you make money . Contextual advertising is a bit different. With contextual advertising, your page is scanned for content, and ads are place on your site related to that content. For instance, if you have a website about gardening, an ad for fertilizer might appear. The most popular contextual advertising company is Google Adsense.

4. Write Ads for Others on Your Website.
The most popular way to do this is to make money with website blogs. This is a good way to make money online, but it’s not something that happens right away. Most companies that hire bloggers to write adds for them require that the blog be at least 90 days old with no period of inactivity over 7 days, and that it have original non-advertisement quality content. This method is not recommended for those who don’t like to write.

To make money with website advertising isn’t something that only a lucky few can do. Chances are that if you have a website you can explore some of these methods and start making money right away. How much money you make depends on how innovative you are and how much work you want to put into it.
